MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE (MLD)
Approximately 1/3 of Edgar Cayce’s readings reference the lymphatic system and its effect on disease and health. MLD is a gentle modality that assists the body in moving stagnant lymph fluid away from congested areas and toward healthy functioning lymph nodes.
Key Benefits of MLD:
- Supports a healthy immune system by flushing out metabolic waste, toxins, and cell debris, boosting the body’s natural immune response
- Reduces bruising and swelling, and accelerates post-surgical healing easing chronic pain, improving circulation, and assisting in detoxification of the tissues
- Management of Chronic Conditions such as chronic venous insufficiency, lymphadema, lipedema, and fibromyalgia
- Skin Improvement and Pain Relief for conditions such as acne and eczema
- Promotes overall wellbeing, reduction in stress and deep relaxation
- Reduction of Fibrosis (hardened tissue) by helping to soften hardened tissue that can occur in later stages of
lymphedema - Improves symptoms of chronic headaches, sinusitis, and tinnitus
- Key component to Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
CranioSacral Therapy treats the body system consisting of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord, creating what is basically a hydraulic suspension system for the heart of your central nervous system. Clients lie fully clothed on the massage table, while the therapist lightly palpates the head, neck, sacrum, arms, and legs – affecting the craniosacral pulse throughout the body. This often results in motion, a release of emotional memories, and increased sense of well-being.

FOOT REFLEXOLOGY
Foot Reflexology is the study and practice of gently pressing reflex points on the feet with specific hand and finger techniques, to relax corresponding parts of the body. Our bodies, with over 72,000 nerve endings on the bottoms of our feet, can be powerfully affected by a thorough session of reflexology.

ACUPRESSURE—Jin Shin Do®

Acupressure points grouped in the neck are known as “Windows of the Sky”. This treatment works with these and other face, head, neck, and shoulder points to release tension and facilitate the circulation of heaven and earth energies through the body. This reestablishes the balance of “Qi” and opens the flow of energy in the face and head. Face and neck acupressure may be used for headaches, eyestrain, and jaw discomfort as well as neck and shoulder problems, plus it promotes a sense of physical ease and harmony throughout the entire body.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE/SPORTS MASSAGE
(deep tissue massage) Fascia is a seamless web of connective tissue that covers and connects the muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Myofascial release refers to the manual massage techniques for stretching the fascia and releasing bonds between fascia and integument, muscles and bones, toward eliminating pain, increasing range of motion, and balancing the body. Especially helpful for sports injuries, stress, inflammation, trauma, and poor posture that can cause restriction to fascia. Myofascial Release works to release fascia restriction, allowing the connective tissue fibers to reorganize themselves in a more flexible, functional fashion and to restore the tissue health.

NEUROMUSCULAR MASSAGE/DEEP TISSUE
(a deep tissue modality) Neuromuscular therapy utilizes static pressure on specific trigger points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body to balance the central nervous system. Injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress causes nerves to speed up their transmission, inhibiting equilibrium and making the body vulnerable to pain and dysfunction. Neuromuscular work can help stabilize these low levels of neurological activity to maintain normal function and overall health.
